Abstract :

A key strategy at EK Health Services, Inc. is to work with employees and management at client companies in an effort to improve the health and safety of the workers and preserve a workforce that is productive and that can work efficiently and do quality work. When management comes on board with this same goal in mind, companies can realize tremendous savings to their bottom lines. At EK Health we do this by assisting companies as they institute preventive and post-injury, ergonomic evaluations, individual and group training classes, and job analyses. During this session the participant will be reminded of the key elements of a good ergonomics program, what risk factors keep in mind, what other factors to include in the overall health and safety program at your business, and solutions to ergonomic problems that arise in industrial settings, warehouses, laboratories, in the field and in offices, among various types of workers including factory and facility workers, mechanics, field and fleet workers. These solutions can save thousands of dollars as they prevent worker injuries and assist workers who have been injured. Prevention is much less expensive than the cost of work related injuries. While this is not a typical presentation, it will give the participant some practical solutions to situations that have been encountered in various workplaces.
