Congenital heart disease (CHD) remains the most common birth defect worldwide. This presentation highlights innovations in fetal echocardiography, newborn screening, and minimally invasive pediatric cardiac interventions. The session reviews the role of genetic testing, pulse oximetry screening, and AI-assisted fetal imaging. New catheter-based treatments for septal defects and valve disorders will also be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on improving CHD care accessibility in low-resource regions through tele-cardiology and training programs.
