Abstract :

Recent estimates have placed the number of Computed Tomography (CT) scans performed annually in the United States is approximately 70 million. A significant number of these were performed with contrast enhancement. We will aim to discuss whether a contrast CT using only oral contrast as a form of enhancement is justified in the emergency room.
