Abstract :

Adverse childhood experiences follow a person over the lifespan. As a service provider, it has been a constant challenge in trauma-work, to find an innovative way of culturally appropriate therapeutic intervention without sacrificing the ethical standards. India has diverse cultural practices where one practice may not always be acceptable to the other. However, there are community resilience and strengths which a practitioner can use for specific intervention. This webinar will highlight how adverse childhood experiences could impact a person over the lifespan, especially in Mizoram. This webinar suggests how community women’s organization members can provide the ‘good enough mothering’ space during the therapeutic intervention.
