Electroencephalography

Electroencephalography is typically a non-invasive (however invasive electrodes are often used in specific applications) method to record electrical activity of the brain along the scalp. EEG measures voltage fluctuations resulting from ionic current within the neurons of the brain. The EEG is a key tool in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
