Abstract :

Statement of the Problem: Effective release management is critical for organizations that utilize Oracle Cloud Applications, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Financial Analytics Warehouse (FAW), Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Vertex. These applications, with individual release cycles every quarter for Oracle Cloud Applications, FAW, and WMS, and monthly for Vertex require a single strategy to offer seamless integration and the minimum possible disruption. This paper addresses release management best practices using automation techniques, with a special emphasis on AI-based regression testing to enhance the effectiveness and reliability of pre- and post-release processes. The paper further addresses good post-mortem practice to learn from each release cycle so that there is ongoing improvement and operational resilience.
