Although it affects only a small percentage of the population, understanding vasculitis is crucial as it can have severe consequences for those afflicted. This article delves into the enigmatic world of vasculitis, exploring its types, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options, aiming to shed light on this lesser-known medical condition [1].

Types of vasculitis

Large vessel vasculitis: This category involves inflammation of large arteries such as the aorta and its branches. Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and Takayasu arteritis are examples of large vessel vasculitis, which can lead to complications like vision loss, strokes, and aneurysms.
