Individuals with BPD may engage in impulsive and self-destructive behaviors, such as self-harm, substance abuse, or reckless spending, as a way to cope with their emotional turmoil [1]. This condition can be incredibly distressing for both those who have it and those close to them. However, with proper therapy, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), individuals with BPD can learn healthier ways to manage their emotions and improve their overall quality of life.
