Tuberculous mastoiditis was first depicted by Jean Louis Petit in the eighteenth century; Wilde in 1853 introduced the old style image of tuberculosis otitis media as an ailment described by easy, deceptive beginning of ear release, various punctures in the tympanic layer, and pale granulations in center ear parted. Politzer examined the ruinous idea of this sickness in 1882. In 1892, Koch showed the tubercle bacilli.
