Reflex anuria has been a very rare cause of renal impairment. It Is generally described after the surgical procedures that involve the manipulation of bladder or the ureter. Manipulation may include trauma or irritation to the kidney or the ureter. Acute kidney injury may cause broadly into prerenal, postrenal, or intrinsic renal categories.A huge number of case reports and describe its occurrence in the following pelvic surgery and colorectal procedures. It may have also been described in situations when there is ureteric obstruction. The renal function returns to normal soon after the disease-causing the non-functional kidney has been treated.
