Multilevel atherosclerotic disease involving the sources of the bracheocephalic artery and the ipsilateral internal carotid artery is rare, which may lead to a medical problem when it comes to decision-making for the care of physicians and surgeons. A recent single-stage procedure with carotid enarterectomy and retrograde stenting is more common as it is less invasive and carries less morbidity and mortality. Generally atherosclerosis begins when a person is young and worsens with age. By the age of 65 nearly all people are affected to some extent. If serious, it can lead to coronary artery disease, stroke and peripheral artery disease or kidney problems, depending on which arteries are affected
