An effective and environmentally sensitive approach which is used to carry out pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices is called as integrated pest management. These programs often uses current, comprehensive information on the pest's life cycle and their interaction with the environment. It is a method of pest control, which utilizes all suitable techniques of pest control to reduce pest populations and maintain them below economic injury level. It is a stable system of crop protection, which based on the ecological relations within the crop and the environment, combines several methods of pest control in such a way that the pests are prevented from causing any economic injury.
