India located in the southern part of Asia is the seventh largest country in the world. It is surrounded by the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. Lotus is the national flower of India which symbolizes the cordiality and hospitality of this great country. Geographically, this country shares its border with seven neighboring nations. It covers 3 million km². India represents 20% of the world population. India’s agricultural productivity differs by geographic area as it is highly affected by the climate. In the recent past, this country participated in the East Asia Summit and in the G8 + 5 with several other multilateral forums. India's economy is the fourth largest based on purchasing power parity. It has the fastest growing free market democracy. India is currently showing stable growth with annual growth of 8%. India's economic growth depends largely on agriculture and construction. In recent years, huge technological advancements have been made in India, which represents an important opportunity for multinational companies in India. The Indian market for research and development services increased by 9.9% in 2015 compared to 2014. It represents nearly 22% of the world market.
