Fungus is a microbe that causes infections to the mammals. The study of fungus is said and termed to be as mycology. Fungus, in plural called fungi. As said fungi are the infectious agents that leads to producing infection in the human body, there are some beneficial fungi like edible fungi. One of the main and well known example of such edible fungi is mushrooms. Whereas some other beneficial fungi are used in the fermentation process. Therefore food technology has a greater higher advantage of fungi. Antifungal drugs are also used in treating fungal infections. Candidiasis is the fungi that is caused by its yeast.
