Orthopantomography (OPG) of dry skulls is frequently used in scientific or forensic research. It is mentioned that when other identification methods fail, the use of the dental methods is a reliable tool. Human dentition and its features will provide a large number of singularities that can prove to the forensic team, through direct contrast, that a body under investigation is actually a supposed entity once examined. This is the Dental Identification baseline. In these situations the radiological data presented by antemortem (AM) will determine the radiological examinations to be carried out. Because the quality of the presented AM radiographs cannot be monitored, an effort must be made to generate similar images at the best possible quality.
