Radu Moldovanu is born in Falticeni Romania, on October 13, 1971. He graduated high school in 1990, and the “Gr.T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania in 1996. From 1997 until 2002 he was resident in general surgery. From 2000 he also worked as assistant professor in surgery. He completed several postgraduated courses in Romania and abroad to specialize in laparoscopic and oncologic digestive surgery. He accomplished his PhD thesis Pylorus preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy, in 2007. From 2010 he is working in France, as senior surgeon in Department of Surgery from Les Bonnettes Hospital, Arras, France. He is also Associate Surgeon of Armentieres Hospital and Associate Lecturer of “Gr.T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania. He’s domains of interests are: colorectal surgery, abdominal wall surgery, pancreatic surgery, laparoscopic surgical education. He was lecturer on different national and international surgical meetings. He is founder and editor in chief of the first Romanian online surgical journal (Jurnalul de chirurgie [Journal of Surgery]) and editor and reviewer of several international medical journals. He published as author and co-author over 70 papers and 3 monographs. He is an Honorific Ambassador of Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS) and also Honoured with Marquis Who′s Who in medicine.
