Biography

Dr. Nora Fung Yee Tam is the Chair Professor of Biology, Department of Biology and Chemistry, City University of Hong Kong from the year 2005. She has also served as a Deputy Director / Director, Futian-CityU Mangrove Research and Development Centre, City University of Hong Kong, Professor, Department of Biology and Chemistry, City University of Hong Kong. Dr. Nora Fung Yee Tam completed her Postgraduate Training Course on “Current Techniques in Ecophysiological Studies of Plants in Tropics”, National University of Singapore, Singapore; D.Phil., Environmental Biology/Applied Ecology, University of York, UK and M.Phil., Environmental Biology/Ecology, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. She is the prestigious member of the 2nd Academic Committee for Key Laboratory in Coastal Wetland Ecosystems, Xiamen University, Ministry of Education, Research Institute for Sustainable Urban Development (RISUD), Hong Kong Polytechnic University; 1st Academic Advisory Committee, Guangdong Province Key Laboratory in Marine Resources and Coastal Engineering, Sun Yat Shen University, Guangzhou, PRC and many more. She is also the EB member for Journals titled International journals on Biochemistry and Biotechnology; Environmental Geochemistry and Health, Kluwer; Wastewater Treatment with Algae, Environmental Intelligence Unit, Springer-Verlag, Berlin and many more. She is also the principal Investigators for several projects.
