Joanne Connolly is Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Microbiology in the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences and Course Coordinator of the Captive Vertebrate (Zoo Animals) Management Program at Charles Sturt University, NSW. She worked in veterinary practices in Tasmania and Queensland with domestic animals, zoo animal and wildlife. This was followed by a PhD on the immunopathological characterisation of infectious disease in the koala and the platypus. Joanne has taught anatomy, pathology and microbiology in Australia and New Zealand.
