Dr. Sakaguchi graduated the Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University located at his home town, Ueda city (Japan), and admitted to the master's program in 1987. To become a technical staff of his alma mater, he dropped out in the following year. Then, he become an assistant professor in 1995 and obtained doctorate in 1997.
