Exploring Egyptian Podcasts as an Alternative Medium Challenging Social Taboos in Egypt

Podcasts started to be an alternative medium that is used in different fields which in most times escape censorship limits. Using the Uses and
Gratifications theory, this research hypothesizes that there is a correlation between limited censorship on podcasts and the recent rise in podcast
listeners and that the more taboos are tackled in podcasts the more demand there is for them. The tested hypotheses were correct. Nine research
