  Background: Job satisfaction represents one of the most complex areas facing today’s managers when it comes to managing their employees. The low job satisfaction among nurses results negative outcome that affect both quality and cost of patient care. Dissatisfaction not only gives poor quality, but also less efficient care. Objective: To assess the level of job satisfaction and associated factors among nurses in East Gojjam Zone Public hospitals northwest Ethiopia 2016. Method: Institutional based Cross-sectional study design was used. Sampling method was simple random sampling and data was collected from March 8 to 23, 2016.
