Susan M. Gapstur, PhD, MPH, is an adjunct professor in the Department of Epidemiology at Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. Dr. Gapstur is the Vice President of the Epidemiology Research Program at the American Cancer Society. Prior to joining Emory and the American Cancer Society, Dr. Gapstur was a Professor in the Department of Preventative Medicine at Northwestern University and the Associate Director of Cancer Prevention and Control in the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Dr. Gapstur is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program at Winship. Dr. Gapstur earned both her PhD and MPH degrees in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. After obtaining her PhD, Dr. Gapstur completed postdoctoral training at the Arizona Cancer Center.
