Simon de Lusignan is the Professor of Primary Care and Clinical Informatics in University of Surrey, UK. His principal research interests are how to conduct surveillance, measure quality and health outcomes from routine data.He is interested in leading more quality improvement trials. Hisother area of expertise include how to incorporate and evaluate the use of technology in clinical workflow.He is particularly interested in how best to include computer use in the clinical consultation, and also in technology based services including telemedicine.He leads the clinical informatics and health outcomes research group, in the Section of Clinical Medicine and Ageing at University of Surrey. He also holds visiting chairs at St. George's - University of London; Brighton and Sussex Medical School; and is the Medical Director of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Research and Surveillance Centre (RSC).
