Biography

Dr Nirmal Kumar BETCHOO is in the teaching profession since 1986 and has 27 years of working experience. He lectures at the Université des Mascareignes (ex- Swami Dayanand Institute of Management) since 1995. He has authored four books: The Mauritian Workplace (2003), Introduction to Public Sector Management (2005), Evolutionary HRM Practice in Mauritius (2009) and an e-book An analysis of HRD in Secondary Schools (2012). He contributes regularly to the press on academic and business issues. Some of his articles have been published by all.Africa.com, the African web portal. He has prepared papers for the International TEC Conference (2011), the Isitech National FDI Conference (2012), the HRDC International Conference (2013) on Youth Empowerment.

Research Interest

Nirmal Kumar Betchoo area of interest is in the field of communication, management, human resource development and culture. He is also passionate of cultural evolutions in society focusing on the 70/80\'s.
