Maria Cupane received her degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies in 2011 and PhD degree in Mediterranean Fruitculture in 2014 at the University of Palermo. The main topics of her research concern the use of Electronic Nose systems and Gas Chromatographic techniques for the analysis of the volatile components of several foodstuffs. Special attention was paid to the application of the Electronic Nose to monitoring the shelf life of Mediterranean fruits after harvest, especially citrus fruits.
