Biography

Maria Antonietta Germanà, received her MSc degree in Agricultural Science in 1980 from the University of Palermo, Italy. She is Associate Professor of Horticulture and Coordinator of the International PhD course "Mediterranean Fruit crops", at the University of Palermo, Italy. She is Associate Editor of the journal Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC), Journal of Plant Biotechnology. Her main research topic are Evaluation and characterization of Citrus and olive germplasm, In vitro plant tissue culture applied to propagation and breeding of Citrus and other Mediterranean fruit crops.
