Dr. Mahmoud Torabi is currently an Associate Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Community Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He is also an adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics and a scientist in the Manitoba Institute of Child Health (MICH) at the University of Manitoba. His main research areas are spatial statistics and small area estimation. He is holding some provincial and national funding for his research as principal investigator (PI) and co-PI such as Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and Manitoba Health Research Council (MHRC). He has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed statistics journals. He has served as a referee for over 30 papers, one book proposal, and four research grants for NSERC, and Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
