Dr Lawrence Leung graduated from the medical school of University of Cambridge, UK, in the late 1980's and trained as a General Practitioner with specialist qualifications of Fellowships of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and the Royal College of General Practitioners of UK (FRCGP). He also obtained Certification from the Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP) and is a certified specialist in Family Medicine. Moreover, he completed six years of training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Guangzhou, China before becoming a Faculty at the Department of Family Medicine, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario. He is now Associate Professor and core Faculty of the Centre of Study in Primary Care. His main research interests focus on the neuroimaging basis for the analgesic actions of acupuncture, and application of TCM for treating chronic diseases in Family Medicine.
