Dr James Woodall is a Reader in Health Promotion at Leeds Beckett University and is the Co-Director of the Centre for Health Promotion Research. James contributes to the MSc Public Health – Health Promotion programme at Leeds Beckett. His particular interest is the health promoting prison and how values central to health promotion are applied to the context of imprisonment. James has published more broadly on health promotion matters, including empowerment in health promotion and the contribution that lay people can make to the public health agenda.
