Dr. Ferrer is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has recently joined Pediatric Urology Associates after an extended tenure as the Peter J. Deckers MD, Chair of Surgery and Surgeon-in-Chief of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. He was also Vice-Chairman of Surgery at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. Dr. Ferrer trained at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and completed his urologic surgical training at UCONN. Subsequently, he completed his pediatric urology and research fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Brady Urologic Institute. He remains Professor of Surgery at UCONN School of Medicine. His research experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
