Emilia Furia was born in Cosenza (Italy) in 1975. She received her Degree in Chemistry from the University of Calabria in 2000 and her Ph.D. in “Methodologies for the development of Molecules of Pharmacological interest” at the same University in 2005. From 2006 to 2008 she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Chemistry, University of Calabria. Since 2010 she is Researcher at the Faculty of Science of the University of Calabria.
Her research activities concern the elemental speciation analysis in biological samples as well as the sequestering ability of natural ligands towards toxicological cations.
