Hong Cheng is a full Professor in , School of Automation, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, 611731 Chengdu, China a vice-director of Center for Robotics, UESTC. He received Ph.D degree in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2003. Now he is the founding director of Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Lab, UESTC. Before this, He was postdoctoral at Computer Science School, Carnegie Mellon University, USA from 2006 to 2009.
