Biography

Bonnie N.F. Law received the BEng (Hons) degree with first-class honours from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1993 and the PhD degree from the University of Tasmania, Australia in 1997. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests include wavelet transform, image enhancement and retrieval. Recently she has also extended her study into new areas on bioinformatics and image forensics. The former involves works on gene expression and DNA sequence analysis while the latter considers source camera identification. Novel results for gene expression data analysis, biclusters detection and source identification have been achieved and published in international journals with good attention from peers, such as a paper in 2008 has been classified as a "highly access" article in BMC Bioinformatics journal (with the number of accesses of 6310 up to 7 Oct 2016) while another paper in 2011 has a citation of 74 up to 7 Oct 2016.
