He completed PhD in the department of Geosciences and Rock Engineering at National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Master of Technology in the field of Exploration geo-science, Subsurface Geophysics. Petroleum, Mineral and Water explorationat Pondicherry University, Bachelor of Science in the field of Geology/Earth Science, General, Geology and Geography at University of Kashmir.
