Introduction: Immunization coverage is the most important strategy adopted by child survival programs throughout the world. Adequate and quality immunization coverage plays a key role in controlling the outbreaks of vaccine preventable diseases. It is very important to analyze the factors which acts as obstacle in achieving 100% immunization among children. Objectives: To assess the immunization coverage among children in Urban field practice area of MMC&RI, Mysuru. To identify the factors for failure of immunization. Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out for assessment of immunization coverage in the field practice area of the Urban Health Training Center (UHTC) of MMC&RI, Mysuru using the WHO thirty clusters sampling method. The sample size was found to be 210. Identification of clusters was done as per WHO manual on 30Ã?7 cluster survey. Interview is being conducted by using a structured interview format in households with children. Data will be entered in MS Excel sheet and analysed using relevant statistical tests.
