It is medical patient care from the time of contemplation of surgery to recuperate from surgical period to improve the surgical outcome. Surgeon, anesthetist, intensivist and physician work closely in such field. However anesthetist play major role in perioperative medicine from pre anesthesia check prior to surgery.
