Biography

Rama P Kotipatruni has received his PhD in Biochemistry from University of Hyderabad, India in 2007. Currently, he is working as Research Associate at Department of Radiation Oncology, Cancer Biology Division, Washington University in St. Louis, USA. Dr. Kotipatruni’s research has focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of brain tumor cell progression and development. His areas of research interests are Tumor biology, DNA - Protein Interactions, Brain tumors - Meningioma, Medulloblastoma and Glioblastoma, Lung cancer; RNAi, Lentiviral and Adenoviral mediated Gene Therapy. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals of Cancer- editor - Web med central, Associate editor- Gene Therapy- Bio-Info publications, Managing Editor( Special Issue) – Frontiers In Biosciences, Trends Journal of Sciences research and American Journal of Cancer Prevention & expert Reviewer for YJBM (Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine), Dove Press (Onco Targets and Therapy, Oncolytic Virotherapy, Drug Design and Development), Royal Society of Chemistry- (Integrative Biology, Molecular Biosystems, Soft mater and Metallomics), John Wiley journals – Molecular carcinogenesis and Nutrition Reviews. Dr. Kotipatruni has authored in several peer reviewed research articles and one book chapter. Dr. Kotipatruni is an active member of SNO (Society for Neuro-Oncology), Science Advisory Board, AAAS and Society of Neurochemistry (India). Associate member of ASBMB, AACR, RRS- SIT, ASGCT, American Cancer Society –CAN and The New York Academy of Sciences.
