Abstract :

Alzheimer disease is a progressive disorder that causes brain cells to waste away degenerate. Alzheimer disease caused of dementia and continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that disrupts a person ability to function independently. The early signs of the disease due to forgetting recent events or conversations. With disease progresses, a person with Alzheimer disease will develop severe memory impairment and lose the ability to carry out everyday tasks. Medicinal plants used as alternative medicine in world cultures, since older times by healers, which used them in remedy of many diseases. It known that many medicinal plants played an important role as alone, and others used combined with chemical one. Egyptian flora is famous since ancient times. Medicinal plants contain chemical compounds that effected in many diseases, such as essential oils, alkaloids, terpenes and glycosides. The ancient Egyptian healers recorded a greatest knowledge about the drugs that used for many diseases, and many of them still used in medicine until now. There are many programs established in Egypt as a strategy to identify potentially active substances. High methods of techniques allow for the analysis of large numbers of extracts in a relatively short period and considered one of the most efficient ways of finding new leads from natural products.

Biography :

Mohammed Sayed Aly Mohammed completed his B.Sc. Faculty of Agriculture, Dept. of Biochemistry at Cairo University in 1976 and he also did his M.Sc. in Faculty of Agriculture, Dep. of Biochemistry at Cairo University in 1985 along with he completed his Ph.D. in Faculty of Agriculture, Dep. of Agricultural Chemistry at Menoufya University in 1990. His main research or technology focuses are Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Bio fertilizers Cultivation, Cultivation and Development of Production and Chemistry of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in the New Reclaimed Lands, Natural Products, Improving of Ingredients of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.
