Introduction: Developments in maternity nursing are taking place in the context of growing demands for accessible and affordable high-quality care, and the need for improved access to care and universal coverage (WHO 2011). The overall aim for future plan is to: � Provision of high quality maternity services that pregnancy is a powerful motivator for change. � Promotes pregnancy and childbirth as an event of social and emotional significance where women and their families are managed with dignity and respect. � Produce teaching, research and updated services for scientific, technological and academic development through application of critical thinking and advances clinical excellence, as the standard of care for women.
