Commentary

Abetalipoproteinemia (otherwise called: Bassen-Kornzweig system, microsomal triglyceride transfer protein deficiency disease, MTP deficiency, and betalipoprotein inadequacy syndrome) is a problem that obstructs the normal absorption of fat and fat-solvent vitamins from food.
