This article aims to synthesize the current understanding and research surrounding these optimization strategies, drawing from a breadth of literature to provide a comprehensive overview. One significant approach involves the application of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies, often integrated with advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) to drive substantial gains in operational performance. These strategies are instrumental in identifying and rectifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and ultimately boosting output [1].
The transformative potential of digital technologies, particularly the convergence of IoT and AI, is a central theme in modern manufacturing workflow optimization. These technologies enable real-time data acquisition and sophisticated predictive analytics, facilitating proactive issue resolution, optimized resource allocation, and enhanced agility in production [2].
