The method in molecular biology to detect a specific DNA sequence in DNA samples is known as Southern blot. Southern blotting is also known as DNA blotting. The name Southern blot is named after the name of the biologist Southern. Scientific peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before an article describing it work is not published in a journal. The work can be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) area, who are qualified and capable of carrying out a reasonably impartial review.
