Dementia is a mental condition having many symptoms such as memory loss, language difficulties, talking problem, difficulty in doing daily activities etc., It may be either caused by injury or loss of brain cells called as neurons. Main cause of dementia is neurons damage where they fail to communicate with the other brain cells which leads to dysfunction. Risk factors of dementia are age, family history, high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and smoking. This disease is diagnosed by series of assessments, memory tests and imaging studies.
