Preterm Birth Review Article

Premature birth is defined as childbirth before 37 weeks of gestation. It is the leading cause of neonatal death and infant mortality, often due to respiratory distress syndrome due to immature lung development. Babies who survive are also at high risk for neurological impairment and may experience other breathing, eating, digestive, visual and hearing problems. Observational studies have shown that a history of significantly preterm birth Births that follow spontaneous preterm labor  and premature rupture of membranes are collectively referred to as spontaneous preterm births. Spontaneous preterm births account for about 70% of all preterm deliveries, where the remaining 30% are indicated following maternal or fetal infection. Among births classified as spontaneous premature births, 64% are the result of premature labor and 36% are the result of premature rupture of the membranes . The review articles are a summary of the current state of knowledge on a particular research subject. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientists and academics rather than reporting new research results. The journal article is in the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and constitutes a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of criteria and find all previously published original research articles that meet the criteria. They then compare the results presented in these articles. Literature reviews, on the other hand, provide a summary of what the authors believe to be the best and most relevant previous publications. The concept of "review article" is distinct from the concept of peer-reviewed literature. An exam may be peer reviewed, and an exam may not be peer reviewed
