Physical Activity Associated With HIV

Physical activity can also help you reduce your risk of developing cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and several types of cancer. These are the health conditions that can affect people living with HIV. Physical activity means the movement of the body that uses energy. Walking, gardening, climbing the stairs, playing soccer are all good examples of being active. For health benefits, physical activity should be moderate. Benefits of exercise include: reduces cholesterol, increases energy, strengthens bones, improves blood circulation, increases lung capacity, improves appetite, improve sleep quality, reduce stress, improves immunity.
