The sequence of progressions to identify or quantify a constituent or a drug is pharmaceutical analysis. The mechanisms of a pharmaceutical solution or a merger or the determination of the structures of chemical combinations used in the formulation of a "pharmaceutical product". High impact journals are those that are considered very influential in their respective fields. The journal impact factor provides a quantitative assessment tool for classifying, evaluating, sorting and comparing journals of a similar nature. It reflects the average number of citations from recent articles published in scientific and social journals in a given year or period and is frequently used as an indirect indicator of the relative importance of a journal in its field. It was first designed by Eugene Garfield, the founder of the Institute for Scientific Information. The impact factor of a journal is assessed by dividing the number of citations from the current year to source articles published in that journal in the previous two years.
