Petroleum-Contaminated Soil

petroleum is an intuitive that occurring as yellowish-black liquid found in geological formations under the Earth's surface. It is commonly clarified into various types of fuels. Constituents of petroleum are separated by using fractional distillation technique which means partitioning of fluids or liquid mixture into fractions that differs in boiling point by means of distillation that can be typically using a fractionating column. Petroleum consists of naturally occurring hydrocarbons of varied molecular weights and may also contain miscellaneous organic compounds. The name petroleum encloses both naturally occurring unprocessed crude oil and petroleum products that are made up of refined crude oil. Soil tainting or soil contamination as a major aspect of land debasement is brought about by the nearness of xenobiotics synthetic substances or other adjustment in the normal soil condition
