Open Access Articles In Histopathology

Open access is open to all, with no access fees. It refers to unrestricted online access to research outputs such as journal, articles and books. Open Access seeks to return scholarly publishing to its original purpose to spread knowledge and allow that knowledge to be built upon. Histopathology refers to the diagnosis and study of diseases of the tissues. It involves examination of tissues and cells under a microscope. Histopathologists are responsible for making diagnoses and helping clinicians manage a patient care. Small pieces of tissue rather than whole organs are removed as biopsies, which often require smaller surgery procedures that can be performed. The pathology report may also contain information about the size, shape, and appearance of a specimen as it looks to the naked eye.
