Receptor molecules are protein molecules that are integrated into the plasma membrane of a cell surface that receives chemical signals from outside the cell. A journal is a periodic publication intended to advance science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the older journals publish articles, journals, editorials, short papers, letters and scientific articles in a wide range of scientific fields. The receptor molecules journals contain peer-reviewed articles, to ensure that the articles meet the quality and scientific validity standards of the journal. Each of these review articles is part of the permanent scientific dossier.
