Immunohistochemistry is a powerful microscopy based technique for visualizing cellular components, for instance proteins or other macromolecules in tissue samples. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) the strength of the intuitive is visual output that reveals the existence and localization of the target-protein in the context of different cell types, biological states, and/or subcellular localization within complex tissues.A laboratory method that uses antibodies to check for certain antigens (markers) in a sample of tissue. The antibodies are usually linked to an enzyme or a fluorescent dye. Subsequently the antibodies bind to the antigen in the tissue sample, the enzyme or dye is activated, and the antigen can then be seen under a microscope.
